JACKSON HOLE
Jan 23rd
Post contributed by Leonard Phelps
We recently visited my cousin who moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He has several odd jobs out there when the ski lifts aren’t open. One is working for Wyoming Home Security installing home security systems. He doesn’t mind having odd jobs because he is out there to simply ski and enjoy himself. He loves to fly fish. Last summer, he caught a record trout. He was so proud of it and e-mailed everyone in the family a picture. My grandfather teases him and says that he moved out there to live the life of leisure. How School Buildings Boost Perception of Education
Jan 23rd
In general, schools are treated not like any other venues or places in a community. Most of the time, such institutions have good architecture and good facilities to earn respect and trust of parents, who always want a good and conducive environment for their children. In this regard, school buildings and their quality play important roles in bolstering perception of people about education.
No parent would want to send his child to an indecent and uncomfortable school. This is because parents mostly believe that beautiful and homey places help children cope up better so they could open up and learn lessons. More >
Understanding Your Child and What He Says
Jan 22nd
You may already have realized so many times that effective communication is the way to build a good relationship with people. In parenting, it could also play a significant part in the way you raise and interact with your child. Understanding your child entails communicating effectively with him, especially during his difficult and tumultuous times.
Always remember that every time you are listening carefully and intently to your child, he becomes more comfortable and you tend to genuinely understand his feelings and emotions. Realize that proper and effective communication could help build your child’s self discipline. It is also the key More >

The amount of information that’s available on the internet now is just amazing. It’s so great that I can get so many of my errands done online. I don’t miss the days when I had to make a bunch of phone calls to find out information on certain products or services. I do all my banking online, and rarely have to go to a teller for anything. I have also started doing most of my shopping online, which is awesome. I can even order groceries and have them delivered directly to my house. More >
Kids Versus The Carpet
Nov 13th
Have you ever felt as if there is a constant battle going on between your kids and your carpet in your home? It seems like as soon as you clean all the carpets in the house, in come the kids with muddy feet or dragging in leaves from the yard. Then the carpet looks just as bad as it did before you cleaned it. Sometimes you may wonder if it is really even worth it to try to keep it clean. The only problem with that attitude is as soon as you have visitors in to your home you notice More >

I appreciate the guest post, Jewel Rodgers
We got hughes net satellite internet and have been able to get a lot of things done from home that we usually had to run into town to get done. I had no idea that our local pharmacy had a website where you could manage and refill your prescriptions simply with a click of a button. I can also check the status of the prescription on-line to make sure that it can be filled ( they have it in stock) and that the prescription is ready before I head to town to pick it up. More >
Should Kids Play Video Games?
Sep 21st
If your kids are like most they love video games. Most kids spend a lot of their childhood years propped up in front of the TV either watching TV shows or playing video games. It is a good idea for children to get outside and get as much exercise as possible. Reading, studying and committing to complete schoolwork are also very important. But the real question is do video games have their place in a child’s life? Although time consuming and attention diverting video games do have some good effects on children as well.
Video games do help to build a More >
Fall Allergies
Sep 18th
Summer is almost gone and fall is on its way and so is the time of year that people are bothered by allergies. If your family is bothered by allergies each year around fall then you know how miserable the kids can be. Children who have pollen allergies seem to get running noses and stopped up sinuses during the fall season. Not only the children but adults are also affected by fall time pollen allergies. It makes for a miserable feeling which is hard to overcome without a trip to the doctor. This can be especially troubling since the children More >
Shopping Made Easy
Aug 23rd
I recently went shopping for a new Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and a few other gadgets. I went to the Verizon store only to find out they do not carry the Samsung Galaxy yet even though they show it on their website. I was also looking for some other items and while running to the stores I thought “ this is crazy”. I have shopped for years online and I thought I can probably get it just as fast by ordering it online. I found a place that had the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and was able to order it More >
Cooking for my wife
Aug 21st
Post contributed by Josue Durham
I’m a really great chef, well, I like to think I am anyway, and my favorite thing to do is cook dinner for my wife before we have a big movie night at home. It ends up saving us a lot of money and to be honest, it’s far more romantic than if we were to go out to a fancy dinner then snuggle up uncomfortably in the movie theater! I usually try to coordinate it – for example, if I find out that tvbyDIRECT.COM satellite has “Last Tango in Paris” playing that night I’ll try to More >
