Kids Versus The Carpet
Nov 13th
Have you ever felt as if there is a constant battle going on between your kids and your carpet in your home? It seems like as soon as you clean all the carpets in the house, in come the kids with muddy feet or dragging in leaves from the yard. Then the carpet looks just as bad as it did before you cleaned it. Sometimes you may wonder if it is really even worth it to try to keep it clean. The only problem with that attitude is as soon as you have visitors in to your home you notice More >
Should Kids Play Video Games?
Sep 21st
If your kids are like most they love video games. Most kids spend a lot of their childhood years propped up in front of the TV either watching TV shows or playing video games. It is a good idea for children to get outside and get as much exercise as possible. Reading, studying and committing to complete schoolwork are also very important. But the real question is do video games have their place in a child’s life? Although time consuming and attention diverting video games do have some good effects on children as well.

Summer is almost gone and fall is on its way and so is the time of year that people are bothered by allergies. If your family is bothered by allergies each year around fall then you know how miserable the kids can be. Children who have pollen allergies seem to get running noses and stopped up sinuses during the fall season. Not only the children but adults are also affected by fall time pollen allergies. It makes for a miserable feeling which is hard to overcome without a trip to the doctor. This can be especially troubling since the children More >
Taking The Kids To The Doctor
Jul 4th
Nothing is worse than having to take a sick child to the doctor. This is especially true when you are super busy with trying to keep the family unit running or when you must visit a doctor or hospital you are unfamiliar with. You always hope it is nothing serious and you will be back at home with your sick child recovering in just a day or two. No matter the reason or the severity you want a competent physician and pleasant nursing staff.
It is nice if the doctor or hospital is able to get access to your medical records More >
Darth Vader – One More Time
Feb 9th
The Darth Vader, Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial, was a classic. It is funny how the simplest childhood acts can be extraordinary when viewed in the right light. The kid, Max Page, playing Darth Vader has a special story himself and good for him making it big in the commercial. This commercial was cheap to make yet could be one of the most memorable commercials of Super Bowl history. There is a longer version available and in case you have not seen it here it is.
Organizing Our Chores
Feb 9th
Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder
It can be a little tough sometimes to remember who’s supposed to do what chores around our household how often and on what days. I’ve been meaning forever to come up with a more organized way to make sure that everybody’s doing their chores like they’re supposed to so I finally decided to just make a chore chart.
While I was online trying to find some ideas for how to make a chore chart, I came across the website get.wildblue.com/faqs.html and decided to order an internet package that I found on there.

Be Prepared When Driving Your Family
Jan 21st
Winter is here; so is the snow and black ice. With all of the frozen precipitation you must prepare your car, as well as yourself, for driving on dangerous highways. Make sure all of your children’s car seats are buckled in correctly and any children not needing a car seat are wearing seat belts. I know this is common sense but it is odd as to how many people have wrecks while not wearing seatbelts. The though is “I was just running to the store down the street.” Well, most accidents happen within 1-2 miles from a person’s house.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you are having a baby soon, you may want to consider a cord blood bank. Normally the baby’s umbilical cord and the blood it contains are discarded during birth. The sad part of this is stem cells from umbilical cord blood are known to treat over 75 diseases, and have been used in over 20,000 transplants worldwide. Who knows how beneficial this could be for your baby in the future.
If your baby’s umbilical cord blood could be saved the cells are guaranteed More >
How To Keep Your Cool When A Child Decides To Get Married
Sep 15th
Children grow up so fast but no matter their age they are still our children. It seems to be such a short time from diapers, to high school, to college and then marriage. When your child decides he/she is in love and has decided to get married, parent’s emotions run wild. The first feeling is “this is my little baby and he/she is not ready to get married.” Who is this person that is stealing my baby away from me?
No matter how much you want to keep your children at home and under your control, it is not going to More >

Aug 23rd
This is a Sponsored Post written by me. All opinions are 100% mine.
You know kids do not really wear their clothes out they just out grow them. It is not that the clothes your kids wear for a short period of time are ruined they are just too small, way too quick. And how about maternity clothes? They might fit for a month or two and then you need bigger ones.
Well, there may be an answer for this dilemma. How about a maternity clothing swap or kids clothing swap for a fraction of the cost. There is just such a website where More >
